 By: Grace Agbo, Abuja  President Bola Tinubu and the Federal Executive Council have announced the scrapping of the Niger Delta Ministry and the Ministry of Sports Development. There will now be a ministry of regional development to oversee all the regional development commissions, such as Niger Delta Development Commission, North West Development Commission, South West Development Commission , North East Development Commission. Advertising   The National Sports Commission will take over the role of the Ministry of Sports.  The FEC also approved the merger of the Ministry of Tourism with the Ministry of Culture and Creative Economy.  The decisions were taken today at the meeting of Federal Executive Council in Abuja.

By: Grace Agbo, Abuja  Professor Ediga Bede Agbo has been appointed as the acting Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO).  The formal announcement was made through the University Facebook Social media handle and announced Prof. Ediga Agbo who emerged as the acting Vice Chancellor of the University. Advertising Prof Ediga appointment came during the special meeting of the Governing Council held on the 7th October, 2024 which was headed by the Pro Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council of FUHSO, Engr. Ohieku Muhammed Salami. According to reports published, "the Pro Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council and Members, earlier, during the meeting suspended the pioneer Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Innocent Ujah,  mni, OON, NPOM, for alleged gross misconduct and willful disregard to its authority", it was added.
