Tinubu Okay To Make Ranches in States to End Farmers/Herders Crisis

The Federal Government is now set and ready to end the prolonged Farmer and Herder crisis in the country especially in North Central Zone where the crisis has become more pronounced. 

President Bola Tinubu assured Nigerians at the Presidential Villa when he received the delegation of the National Conference on Livestock including the heads of the nation's Security Agency in Abuja.

National Reporters Online was briefed that,  President Tinubu received the report during the visit on the called for the establishment of Ministry of Livestock from the National Conference on Livestock Reforms.

The President in his words on the Thursday meeting; "I will be talking to all the governors. The Federal Government will be ready to apply to acquire land for ranches and livestock development".

He further emphasized on the lingering  herder/farmer clashes which have persisted in the country for long and blamed past leadership failure eho could have end it before now if they stood up.

He said; "It is not the fault of the herdsmen or farmers, ... It is our fault, the leadership, for not finding solutions in the past to solve our problem", he added.

The National Chairman of APC, Abdullahi Ganduje also made remarks on the recommended committee for the establishment of the Ministry of Livestock.

Capturing his words by our reporters: "We recommended the establishment of the Ministry of Livestock and subsequent agencies so that various aspects of the recommendations will have appropriate institutions for implementation".

The National Economic Council (NEC) during the meeting, approved the National Livestock Transformation Plan (NLTP).
