Wife to Friends - Tiv Forms of Generosity: Venitta AKpofure To Appear In Court

It has not been going down well with Venitta Apkporure of BB-NAIJA as the Tiv ethnic groups of Benue State have gathered momentum heading to court against her ill-statement that negate their cultural and traditional practices.

The notion that the Tivs as part of her culture and traditions bestowed on them, to freely gives their wives to their good friends as a proof of generosity and entertainment when a visit occurred. 

They have comes out in numbers debunking the claims the public hold on such practices as it has never happened before.

The latest is from Venitta, where John Anthony Ikwulono and Tever Akase, former Chief Press Secretary to governor Samuel Ortom on social media, taken a bold step to challenge Venitta utterances in the reality TV show.

VENITTA AKPOFURE TO APPEAR IN COURT OVER WRONG STATEMENTS ABOUT THE TIV CULTURE.

When I was still a student in the university, a lecturer of sociology and anthropology once told us that, if you don't want to have a problem with somebody, avoid saying negative things about their parents, their tribe, religion and so on.

The big brother all stars show currently going on, on the television right now have witnessed on two occasions whereby Venita Akpofure,  a house mate has had to say very uncalled for statement about the Tiv race or Tiv culture.

The big brother Naija all stars house mate has already said twice on the national television that the Tiv people do give out their wives to visiting friends as part of their care. However, venita's assertions have sparked a great controversy over the Benue State social media.

The Tiv people who have been battling for a wrong time to correct the wrong impression that a few people holds about them became very angry with the BBNaija house mate so much that, others went to her social media handles and attacked her so much she had to block the comments on her posts.

Venita's opinion about the Tiv people is rather shocking since she was formerly married to a Tiv man and it is expected that, she should be the one to help correct this long opinion that people holds about the Tiv people, people wonder what actually promted her to paint the Tiv people so black having been a wife there once.

As a result, a number of Tiv young men and women have already approached the court of law and have  secured an injunction against her pending when she will come out, Venita Akpofure is not a kid, whatever she has against the Tiv people is not yardstick enough for her to be saying such lies against the Tiv people blazenly on the national television. We await to see how this case goes.
