Caution: Benue Social Media Users/Influencers _ Alia's Aide

It will be no-longer a business as usual in Benue State as the Government through the Governor Social Media Director who drawn a thin line against Social Media Users and Influencers in the State.

The reports was made known to the public on Friday October 6, 2023 through Comr Asortar James Asortar, the Special Assistant to Governor Alia on Social Media.

In Asortar Facebook press statement, he frowned upon the critics that arises from the public against his principal, Governor Hycinth Alia, that, "there shall be a close monitor of all social media pages and groups hereafter to ascertain who does not adhere to this specification and if found wanting shall be made to take correction. This is simply to ensure that all hands are on deck in building Benue State, our State", he stated.

Subsequently, he thereafter gave a notice of meetings and gathering of all social media influencers in Benue State, that the date and time shall be communicated shortly!

Below is the extracts of the statement from the Aide, Comr Asortar James Asortar:

FOR SOCIAL MEDIA PAGE AND GROUP OWNERS/INFLUENCERS 

Be notified that when you approve of a defamatory post on the wall of your page or group, you are equally quilty of defamation as the composer of the defamatory text.

It is with the above premise that I hereby admonish you, social media page and group owners/influencers to henceforth monitor and screen out defamatory and scandalizing posts on the personality of Governor Hyacinth Alia from appearing on your walls that are liable of landing you into tight corners.

There shall be a close monitor of all social media pages and groups hereafter to ascertain who does not adhere to this specification and if found wanting shall be made to take correction. This is simply to ensure that all hands are on deck in building Benue State, our State.
