Diezani Facing 10-Years Jail in UK Court

The former Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke, on Monday was called and made appearance in a London court over bribery cases charged against her by the United Kingdom, National Crime Agency (NCA).
The UK government with the bribery cases charged against her, the government is plainly seeking a 10-years jail term which the EFCC in Nigeria has equally applauds.
By the requirements in UK's Bribery Act 2010, any offence under such Act is punishable which can be served either by a fine or imprisonment.
It is reported that, as of August 2022, Alison Diezani Madueke lives in St John's Wood in London, before her appearance at Westminster Magistrates Court.

The former Minister is accused of accepting bribes when she served as Minister for Petroleum Resources under Goodluck Jonathan, in exchange for awarding multi-million pound oil and gas contracts.
According to NCA, "she is alleged to have benefitted from at least £100,000 in cash, chauffeur driven cars, flights on private jets, luxury holidays for her family, and the use of multiple London properties."
During her appearance before the Westminster Magistrates Court, Reuters explained and made it known to the public that, Diezani's lawyer, Mark Bowen, told the court his client was not guilty of the whole charges.
