I am Innocent of Wike's Impeachment Plan _ Gov Rivers State

Over the weeks, there have been a spread of stories of disagreement between the governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara and his predecessor Nyesom Wike, the Minister of FCT.

On Sunday being 29 October, the Rivers State House was reported to have been set ablaze. The governor received the news with shock following his visit on Monday but was been attacked police as he claimed.

In his words, Fubara said he has not committed any offence to warrant impeachment by the Rivers State House of Assembly as his innocency is intact, he added.

The governor while addressing his mass supporters at the Assembly Complex, "Let them come out and tell Rivers people the offence I have committed to warrant any impeachment,... Let me assure the people of Rivers that I will continue to ensure that you get the dividends of democracy. At the appropriate time I will address the press," he concluded.

From reports received, a fresh crisis emerged at the State Assembly following rumours of an impending impeachment procedure against the Governor, Fubara was at the House on Monday removed its leader, Edison Ehie.
