Mohbad: Naira Marley Arrested By Police in Lagos

The controversial music star, Azeez Fashola popularly known as 'Naira Marley' has arrived Nigeria and immediately taken into Police custody in Lagos for interrogation and other investigative activities in relation to the death of Mohbad, his former label crew.

The Police authorities in Lagos State stated and reported this to the public at the late hours on Tuesday by the Command Spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin.

"Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities," Benjamin reported.

It is gathered that, Naira Marley is expected to assist and follow up with the police in their investigation into the death of Mohbad, his former signee originally known as Ilerioluwa Aloba.

Naira is said and alleged by the public of having substantial role in the demised of Mohbad but denied the allegations via his social media posts and promised to clear his innocency.  

The Lagos Police Command confirmed his arrival in Nigeria to help in the probe and investigate the case while Marley notified the public through his X ?former Twitter) account.

In Marley's post, "I'd like to share that I've just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation,."

"It's important I do my part for Imole. I'll be meeting with the police with hopes for the truth to be uncovered and for justice to prevail."

MohBad, who died in a controversial situation with so many allegations again his former and other persons like Sam Larry, that the late star was bullied, abused before he gave up to death.

His death has led to many activities in efforts to find justice for the family. His fans demands thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death, as there were candle light procession in his honor and several protests in several parts of the country to register their pains.

Subsequently, police authorities exhumed his remains that was buried earlier and autopsy was conducted but the result is not yet out when this report is filed.
