As Nigerians marks the occasion of Democracy Day, June 12, 2024, Hon Ezekiel Adaji, the leading contender for the Chairmanship seat of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State, has urged Nigerian citizens to embrace democracy as a way of life. The former Federal House of Representative member in a statement released today being the country's democracy day, emphasized that democracy requires active participation, engagement, and dedication from all citizens.

Hon Adaji stressed that democracy is built on the values of freedom, equality, and justice, and it is the responsibility of citizens to defend it against all threats. He also highlighted the importance of protecting the integrity of elections, the independence of the judiciary, and the freedom of the press.

The political leader encouraged citizens to listen to each other's perspectives, embrace diversity, and find common ground. He envisioned a system that truly represents the will of the people, where every voice is heard and every vote counts.

While recounting the rich hidden values of democracy for every nation, the leading contender for the forthcoming Benue State PDP Chairmanship position highlighted and defined vividly the promises that it hold, now and in the future.

In his words, Hon Adaji stated; "... as we stand together at this critical juncture in our nation's history, I want to remind you that "democracy is not just a system of government - it's a way of life. It's a promise that we make to each other, a commitment to uphold the values of freedom, equality, and justice."
